Before dispatching your shipment, make sure your goods, packaging, labels, and shipment information are prepared according to Bosch logistics requirements. Following these requirements helps ensure smooth transportation, efficient goods receipt, and automated processing at Bosch.
What labels do I need?
Correct labelling is essential to ensure your shipment can be identified, transported, and received efficiently at Bosch.
Every package and handling unit must be labelled according to Bosch requirements. Labels must be clearly visible, securely attached, and remain legible throughout transportation.
Unless otherwise agreed, Bosch uses the Global Transport Label (GTL) as the worldwide standard for shipment identification. Depending on your shipment, you may need to apply Single, Master, or Mixed labels.

What is GTL?
Representatives from Germany (VDA), Europe (Odette) and North America (AIGA) have developed a Global Transport Label (GTL) that can be used worldwide for supplier and customer relations. Bosch has decided to utilize this label standard as an enable for the Automated Goods Receiving project.
GTL contain a unique ID identifying HU and KLT/boxes as well as a machine-readable Data Matrix code. For the full effect of the GTL and its unique ID the data must be provided in the ASN to Bosch systems. Bosch has based its GTL Guideline on the VDA Recommendation 4994. The introduction of the label and accompanying EDI message will be coordinated bilateral between supplier and Bosch.
